33 juniors took part in the Club's annual junior tournament held on Saturday 11 September. Once or twice the weather tried to interrupt but totally failed to dampen the spirits and energy of players. Above all this was a tournament organised by juniors and run by juniors and thanks go to Alistair Peel and especially Kenny Coates who administered and refereed the event on the day.
There were all categories of events for all ages and abilities – mini-red; mini-orange; mini-green; U14's and U18's. (The only slight blemish was insufficient girls for out U14's and U18's). The only 'must' on the day was that everyone had to enjoy themselves.
All mini-events were played through to completion and although all who took part were 'champions' – the finalists were as follows:
Mini-Red:
Mini-Orange:
Mini-Green:(Final to be played on Club Finals Day – September 25)
Special mentions to Aiysha and Yasmin for taking the boys on! Well done.
U14's (Final to be played on Club Finals Day – September 25)
U18's (Final to be played on Club Finals Day – September 25)

Great to see the juniors getting together, having fun and playing competitively. A big thanks to those involved in organising this event and congratulations to all who took part, especially to those who reached their finals!

Thought the juniors were terrific and thanks to all who took part and made such a good day of it. Some great matches. Special thanks to Kenny who was tournament referee - amongst other things on the day.
