North East Club Winter League 2009/10
This year the Winter League has 67 teams competing, 13 teams more than last year.
Boldon LTC have again entered 3 teams into the league and you can find information provided by each of the team captains by following the links below:

Competition Info
Teams are made up of 4 players, 2 men and 2 women, and meetings consist of two, two set matches. The first match sees men play men and women play women before team then split into first and second choice mixed doubles and playing one further match.
Once finished you have a bite to eat and a drink and all is normally finished some time before 2pm (if starting at 10:30am).
The competition is staged in two rounds with round one consisting of 8 groups of 8/9 teams playing each other once in a league style between the months of Oct and Feb, usually on a Sunday morning.
Due to the logistics of organising teams from Tynedale to Northallerton these leagues are in the main unseeded. This means first teams from one club often play third teams from another etc. even if two clubs have entered 3 teams each.
However, the second round is a playoff stage where your play knockout matches against teams who finished in the same position as you in other leagues which is where the competition becomes more competitive.
